I'd like to take some digital photos of man-made satellites (ISS, shuttle, and others), and I'd like to include more than just the visible spectra.

What can I expect to see in the visible spectra from Dayton with decent gear? (Please define the term "decent gear," as I have no real idea what size 'scope or what sort of imager I might need...

and, what additional spectra can I image if I want to take photos at, say, JB?

Sorry, I know this has to have been asked before, but I'd really appreciate some references and some assistance.
