Solar Activity is increasing - Sunspots Group 1045 _Auroras

Hi All,

It appears that the suns is now finally pulling out of Solar minimum, as we have had 3 large sunspot groups on the sun the last few days.

I'm currently on the road on business in Florida, with great warm clear skies, and simply could not resist taking a few shots of the sun with these sunspots groups.
I know the weather back home has sucked, but if it does clear get out and look at the Sun(with proper filtration of course)

This shot was captured with a 4" F8 Newt. scope, 4" baader solar filter, and a Toucam Pro2 webcam, Prime focus, from my cousins house in Tampa, Florida. 372 frames were stacked in Registax.

I never give up shooting the sky, no matter were I travel on business to, I always go prepared to shoot.

Now several CME's have come off the sun, and they are now predicting heavy Aurora activity in the next few days.....I doubt if they will reach me here in Florida, but all you folks back home up north, keep your eyes peeled!

I hope the snow stops, and the sky clears for you all.

Best Regards,
John Chumack
