Luminance: 44x30sec, saved as FITS
RGB: 30x30sec, saved as FITS
Guide scope: None
Software: Envisage, Autostar Image Processing, Photoshop

With all the cloudy weather we’ve had I decided to go back and apply what I’ve learned over the past couple of years (and some of the new features in Autostar Suite Image Processing, ASIP) to some of my favorite images. The source data for this image was taken on 2/6/2006. The biggest improvement is in gradient removal (this was taken without a light pollution filter) and color balance (the original was balanced by-the-numbers in Photoshop whereas this one use the RGB Gray Balance function in ASIP).
