Very nice! It's neat how the galactic bulge peeks out from under the dust lane. Color ballance can be tricky, particularly for me since I'm red-green color blind. (I can see red and green, it's just hard to tell which is which sometimes.) I found the background-adjust function in Nebulosity to be very helpful. Another trick is to take RGB images of the moon when it is high in the sky. The moon is for the most part gray so it makes a great neutral density target illuminated by sunlight. From this you can develop correction factors for each filter, though in the end Nebulosity made my life a lot simpler.
Neat stuff.

If 50 years of amateur astronomy and space exploration has taught me anything it is that the Earth is a very special place. It would be nice to protect it like it’s the only Earth we’re ever going to have.

Keith Very nice image, what
Keith Very nice image, what was you exposure time?
A very good Job!
You may need to tweak the color balance a little, other than that its a very nice image DUDE!
